F-4 Phantom but I’m biased. Bailed out this grunt a few times in the Nam. Just an awesome machine.
There really hasn’t been a US jet since the F-4 that has been ugly or a real under-performer. Our designers have regularly designed powerful, sexy aircraft. Even the latest F-35 has some nice lines.
Maybe the goofy looking F-17(?) stealth thing can be called ugly.

The old Russian MIG-15s

While it may not necessarily be the prettiest per se, the Su-34 Fullback has some nice lines to it and, in my personal opinion, seems to be the scariest of the newer Russky aircraft variants.
Basically a souped up F-111 but with a much roomier cockpit for long missions.
I'll give Ivan this... they sure have some sweet camo patterns for their birds

Along the lines of this conversation I ran across this news of a Russky Su-30 that was shot down by it's own planes during training exercises.

This aircraft might have been better that the venerable Viper, but politics went with the F16 , and the rest is history.
Mach 2 all weather capable, used less fuel less maintenance lower operating costs and more reliable than contemporary fighters of its' day.
The fighter that could, and probably should ..have been.

Ahhh hate to break it to you but that is a Mig 28
Just ask Mav
Seriously though F-20 would have been a heck of an airplane, especially for the price

It seems the Mikoyan folks like the F5 family of aircraft a LOT LOL.
I've always had a soft spot for F20 as a layman so to speak, at the very least Northrop should have been able to sell a plane that good to somebody.

I always thought the A5 Vigilante was cool. It was an absolutely huge carrier based strategic bomber that was eventually moved into a fast recon role.

F-4 Phantom. That's a mean looking machine.

While the Hog and F-15Es have always been my “America! Fk Yeah” favs, I gotta admit the MiG-29 looks sexy af. Looks like a flying corvette.

Obviously nothing nearly as cool as the jets posted here, but I just got invited to go hang out with the WWII Commemorative Vintage plane flying club tomorrow out of West Houston. Said I could come in the morning and hang out and 'help' then probably fly in one tomorrow or the very least get to sit in a few.
I think I'm going to do it, it's an unbelievable invitation. She said that they get together almost every weekend and I could come anytime but tomorrow there was lot to do.
