People will claim it gives you brain tumors. Can't wait for that class action.

I paid plenty of attention pimpin. Especially beyond non EE classes. You'd be surprised what you learn when you apply some careful research into the matter. Nothing wrong with looking at "what could be" rather than being narrow sighted like some

3D printed basic items on demand. Instead of buying certain goods, we will buy schematics and print at home.

Certain frequencies have yet to be tested for trace radiation. Some that are even included in the higher 5G spectrum.

True that, but at low frequencies from something like a Wi-Fi signal, it would be possible. It wouldn't be as fast as charging your phone using the traditional corded way.

But this also is dependent on the battery used, isolating the signal and converting it. Whole bunch of other things.

Its still unreal that its 2018 and we still sit on a bowl filled with water, shite in it, and then wipe ourselves with paper. Someone needs to work on this.

As far as NEW technology, two things in healthcare (my area) that will make big splashes:

- Individualized medicine from mapping genomes
- AI integrated healthcare that makes decisions for doctors

We'll get to a point where a doctor can plug in your symptoms and they'll hook you up to a machine that maps your DNA, takes your vitals, and makes a medical decision for you with % of success.

Healthcare has a lot of crazy things on the horizon. We may see a day that cancer no longer carries the weight it does right now.

I just hope stupid politics dont screw up all the incredible research going on right now.

I concur, and I think the market would not find the slower recharge all that bad if it is continuously happening.

You also have to find a spectrum that has not been bought or utilized in the lower frequencies. Unfortunately, almost all carriers and ISP, plus the US Gov have bought the sweet stuff.

Oh, that's happening brother.

With the way society is going, all men are at extreme risk of a sexual assault, metoo, etc. allegation coming their way from anything short of obtaining a signed consent form from a woman expressing written consent to EVERY single sexual act in the midst of a sexual encounter. It's that ridiculous (see the college kid who was recently kicked out of school because a girl subjectively decided, mid blowjob, she no longer wanted to do it after being the one to first initiate the act)

Given the choice between sex with a partner who might (a) ultimately take criminal action against you; (b) get pregnant or (c) simply just refuse to have sex with you; and a lifelike robot who will do anything you want, whenever you want, I think we all know what most men would choose.

It's absurd, but that's where we are going. It used to be pregnancy and VD were the only real big risk of consensual sex. Now, jail time is a risk for guys engaging what from all indications appeared to be consensual and desired sex.

I honest to God wish there could be an absolute moratorium on tech for, say, 20 or even more years. Tech and advancement in almost every sector has created a scary population growth tipping point. We've made it way too easy to live.

according to what i've read here on the OT in the past:
- O&G baws are doomed. We'll all be using 100% clean energy.
- Most of your jobs will be done by automation or robots, so if you aren't in automation, you'll most certainly need a UBI to survive.

Yeah, that part does make it hard to find a good one that'll work. And, i think, you can technically try to make a custom low frequency however, they lower you go, slower the charge. Needs a minimum frequency band to actually get a decent charge going
