where is your link for that. in 2015 pits killed 28.......28 in one year.

here is the chart for a time span similar........ so 60% of 251 doesnt match your numbers.

Beautiful dog.

Looks a lot like my late dog. I could make her sit there like that and eat something in front of her without sharing, and she would have drool from her mouth all the way to the floor.

Thank you. Sounds like she was a good dog.

What is the "this" you're referencing here? That's a -5 for faulty pronoun reference.

Look, I like rotties and have no issue with them. Just interesting to see the narrative shift this board has

They were the deadliest dog in the 90s. That is the "this" that caused their numbers to go down

Sorry to hear that. I have owned rots, labs, pit bulls, and golden retrievers - i think it's all how they are raised.
But rare situations happen.
I owned a Rottweiler mix years ago and one morning he busted out of the gate and bit my neighbor on the butt. I gave him away to a man in the country - with full disclosure of him biting my neighbor.
The dog needed some country to roam

What numbers? You're still not making sense.

Are you saying there are less Rotties in the world now? Are you saying there are less Rottie attacks now?

I've owned several over the years. They were all great dogs. The problem is that they are very prone to cancer. We had to have the last two put down within a year of each other. Very sad.

narrative shift
well when the following of a breed starts to breed out that behavior and has drastically changed the temperament, the narrative itself shifted. not peoples opinions.

They are still the second most deadly dog in America, while being the 10th most populous. If you think pits are "deadly by nature", one should also hold steady in those beliefs about rotties.

I happen to disagree either is deadly by nature.

I'm failing to see what that has to do with your original question.

You're shifting your argument because Ramroad and I pointed out a really obvious flaw with your question.

Based on.... Their current numbers, numbers you provided mind you, aren't similar at all.

Excuse me? Rotties were the most fatal dog in America. Their population went from 2nd most popular, to 17th, causing them to be second most deadly in america.

My point was, Rotties were actually more deadly than pits, and now they are 2nd, and I correlate that with a population decrease.

There is nothing hard to follow.

there is where i think you are completely wrong.

I know in the doberman circle there was a huge push in the 70's and 80's to clear its name from the vicious attack dog it was labeled in the media and hollywood movies. It was always on the top lists of vicious dogs, without reliable data. now you dont see them.

granted i dont know this, but im assuming the drop wasnt because of the population shrinking but more geared from the breeders breeding a better temperamental dog. This happens all the time.
