I have no moral issues with eating beef. I'd be fine if they put a little sticker on the wrapper with the cow's name on it. Thank you for your sacrifice Wilbur

I have a cousin who married a Vegan and he treats it like a religion. There is money to be made off these people.

Because it’s cheaper than beef and animal based products and restaurants can price it at premium and make even more profit off of it.

All while under the guise that’s it’s better for you and that’s it.

New market.

Capitalism relies on growth, expansion. There's no growth possible geographically really outside of Cuba and Venezuela so new markets only occur with innovation.

Kinda like how things boomed with the tech bubble. It was a totally new market never before available to invest and grow. Same thing with plant based protein viability. Vegan and it's various forms have been a submarket of food for a long time. Plant based meat substitutes is whole new ballgame.

Because there is money to be made in plant based meat and the tastse and texture has greatly improved with the new Beyond Burger and Impossible Burger. It's main marketing is directed at people worried about climate change rather than vegetarians.

People are ok with GMOs and all sorts of stuff injected into cows so it's not much different. The difference is people aren't eating plant based stuff everyday....most people. I eat it once every couple of weeks.

I thought vegans would love this new push and BK’s attempt to spread the vegan trend.
The vegan hippie girl I grew up knowing posted a rant against Burger King mixing beef grease with the vegan burgers. Well no shite but at least they are attempting to cater to your needs and market the vegan lifestyle to non-vegans.

It's part of the general ratcheting-down of the American standard of living.

"You can't eat meat anymore."

"Suburban houses are cheesy. Hurr, durr, muh McMansion. Get yourself a roach-infested row house in the (ooh ooh!) big city."

"Cars are stupid. Nobody wants cars anymore. Just let some Haitian dude with a glorified electric golf cart with a cell phone glued to the dash truck you around Dallas."

"We have to turn your power off. A/C electricity is the root cause of wildfires." (Whatever the **** a 'wildfire' even is. Stupid neologism.)

Warehoused, tied to a grid, a pill, and a monthly payment... made to share your women, your cars, your money, and your home... we are all CUCKS now, in their vision at least.

They aren’t spreading it. Nor is it a trend.

Which is completely normal if you are a vegan.

You would do the same thing if you found out the burger you thought was beef but was really. textured protein.

You make no sense. They can’t be pushing a vegan trend if they are doing this.

But they aren’t.

You clearly don’t know the difference between vegetarian and vegan. Not to mention understanding anything about the consumer or their lifestyle.

That's like asking what's with all the prescription drug commercials. Much like prescription drugs, a lot of time and money has gone into engineering this product and now that it's ready for market they need to sell a lot of it to get that ROI.

More than $16 billion has gone into U.S. plant-based and cell-based meat companies in the past decade, with $13 billion of it in 2017 and 2018, according to two recent reports from The Good Food Institute.
