I don’t see how a slot machine could be fun. Over the long term it’s a guaranteed loss. All you do is press a button, no strategy involved. There’s nothing social about it either.

I find the opposite.
The fun slots are those with different bonus games and a progressive jackpot.
The chance (however small) of winning millions of dollars in one spin is what makes it fun.
I remember one time playing a Monopoly slot that had a way to get free spins if you landed a bonus.
Well I got like 10 free spins, and within those spins got a bonus which gave me more free spins, and again a bonus in those free spins.
It was stuck in like a loop of winning and was awesome. Think I made out with over 1k and it was only like 50 cents a spin.
