poorest was rural argentina, but the people were so humble and grateful.
scariest was mexico, you know you're at their mercy.
also been to some shady places in eastern europe near the russian border. those people just dgaf about anything, the soviets broke them

Tampico Mexico was not particularly appealing.
i actually quite like tampico. nice downtown and nightlife if you go to the right places. though, i haven't been since the cartel took everything over, so maybe it's changed.

I’ve been to three continents and I think East St Louis is still the worst place I’ve ever been. Saw some pretty rough looking spots in Lima Peru. Most depressing place is the Mississippi delta.

East St Louis....can't believe such a place even exists in this country. It's shocking.

I was stationed at Edwards AFB in California. Absolutely nothing around except a few small Mojave Desert town many miles from base. The two closest cities were Lancaster and Palmdale which wasn’t saying much. Altus AFB in Altus OK which is in the middle of nowhere southwest OK was equally as bad.

Any bathroom at a random gas station in Louisiana after leave Texas coming back home to visit family.
I'm hardly a germaphobe but I feel almost to a point I'd feel dirtier if I touched the sink to wash my hands.
