Out of: Earthquake/ Tsunami/ Tornado/ Volcano

Only one can realistically wipe out or frick up 50% of North America with 1 go.

Dont bother me so much. The average American building does well under earthquake stress.

Tornado or earthquake.

Hurricanes and storms you can usually prepare for to some degree

I was in an earthquake for Christmas Eve in Costa Rica back in 2004. It came noting nowhere and everything just shook violently. I have never been in a tornado but I have heard tornado sirens in McComb, MS and just the sirens alone with the dark skies was scary and very eerie.

Scariest: A monster tornado barreling down on you in the middle of the night.

Coolest: Getting swallowed up by a black hole

I'd go with volcano because it could be a mass-extinction event. None of the others fall into this category. Yellowstone goes, and it is nuclear winter and the fall of civilization.

Yeah, I would go with tornadoes just because how fast they can develop and how much destruction they can do in a relatively small amount of time.

But I am sure it depends on where you live. For those of us living in coastal states, its hurricanes. If you live in... Let's say.. Michigan its probably blizzards.. California earthquakes, wildfires and landslides. Whatever is the most likely in your is the scariest because its possible. If you live in Montana, hurricanes and tsunamis are not going to be a big concern for you,

Exactly, the answer is Volcano.

You ask me right now if i'm more worried about a Hurricane, Earthquake, Tsunami, Tornado, wildfire in Louisiana > Yellowstone and the answer is volcano.

Last night I had my phone and wife’s phone going off. Then my alarm started going off for a tornado warning. Whatever time it was it sure as hell got my attention.

Not feared for my life but the damage of a hurricane is my biggest pita

Tornados scare the crap out of me but I bet a strong earthquake has to be a mindfrick and a tsunami might be the scariest.

This. Tornados and Tsunamis have that absolute impending doom, but the helplessness of an earthquake, man.

A tsunami also makes you feel helpless unless you can get up high. Not so easy in a coastal city, where you'd be schlapped if one came to you.

This.

If there's time to evacuate it sucks but isn't scary.

This was what was going to say. It’s not a volcano that just takes out a city or something, it would wipe out a large portion of North America.

That’s just terrifying. I don’t see how there is still such a thing as the USA still in existence after that monster goes off.
