I remember that. I remember coming home at night (so it must have been on a weekend) and my parents putting on the tv coverage.

Anyone know what she looks like today?

IIRC we are about the same age. I remember a few personal things from the 1982-1984 time frame but not too many big events from those years.

It seems like the mid 80s had a lot more memorable events - Chernobyl, Challenger, Baby Jessica

She's still kickin'. Pretty nice looking. Kind of a butterface, but a high-tier one.

I don't remember this. I know about it now and have known about it for awhile, but I don't remember it being a news story. It seems like it wasn't until after I graduated HS (other than the challenger story) until things happened when I can remember where I was when hearing about it.

STFU...

What sickness do you have today?

It has been awhile since you had COVID. You said it was at the end of February right? Its been 5 months since you claimed to have something.. You are about due to get (or at least claim it) something.

I remember Gary Plauche too and when Barry Seal got killed at the Salvation Army.

My great aunt lived right across Airline off of Winbourne from there at the time.

A building apartment fire or high rise fire and people jumping out.

That was the Rault Center fire in 1972. Several women jumped from the window of a beauty parlor on the upper floors and only one survived the fall.

No fire department equipment could reach them where they were situated and how high up they were.

Had to go back and check the date but I remember watching the news that night with my Mom and I have never forgotten seeing her cry over these astronauts that she did not know which in turn got me to crying after seeing her cry , but the Apollo 1 disaster that took place on January 27 , 1967 when all three astronauts were killed that day. Still haunts me some 52 years later.
