Sea urchin, raw. It tasted like cold rancid ammonia.

A fresh chicken heart. Very metallic, and hot blood doesn't really add much. I do like blood sausage, though.

That, or a kidney from a whole-roasted pig. Same problem, minus the blood. Absolutely awful texture.

Come on man, we need details.

Was it cooked, fermented or served raw? Did you puke? What was the smell like? What was the taste like?

My great grandmother used to make sweetbread, but it was calf/cow pancreas I think. It was actually decent.

My wife brought home some Indian food yesterday that was pretty disgusting (and I love Indian food).

I have had the same experience. Either it is fantastic or the worst tasting food you ever have eaten.

Well easily the nastiest thing I have eaten was by accident during the dining on a box of fried chicken livers(which some would say yuck to already...but I enjoyed them before the incident). While I ate them somehow a gall bladder was amongst them and I went all in on the bite. The bile in the gall bladder, let's just say gagged me and some went down my throat burning it as well. It was freaking nasty and that's being kind to the story. Haven't had fried chicken livers since.

Worst smelling - fried stinky tofu in Taiwan. Just rotten soybeans deep fried. Taste wasn't bad though.
