Some people repeat the same tired phrases on here because they need to appear cool in front of other anonymous message board posters. It's kind of strange.

Last year my son’s middle school football game (catholic school league). Parent on other team offered $100 bounty to take out our star player. Refs called the game early

8th grade football playoff game. One team is up big in the first half. The other coaches start yelling at the officials. The winning team's running back bowls over a linebacker and knocks him out cold. Opposing coaches start screaming and yelling at an official and then start fighting him. Flags fly everywhere, cops are called, game ended. Losing team has lost control of their players, fans, coaches. Their players literally start showing their asses as well as doing the helicopter with their 3rd legs.

Recently some old friends of mine had a “signing day” for their 5 year old travel ball team. Had the kids sign contracts.

A lot of people are going to comment about coaches behaving badly or parents berating umpires...

But this wins the thread. End the thread now. It's over.

Watched a football coach cuss out a ref and even a few parents joined in. All got ejected. I should mention this was for Kinder-2nd grade flag football.

Honestly, depends if they're attached to a bigger league or not. I would suspect they are not at that age, but it's very possible that they can't find good enough competition. In SoCal, we have enough quality here to stay competitive, but the higher up teams will travel to tournaments all over so that they're not just beating the same teams again.

In most 10 year old leagues, the srrike zone is the eyes to the toes and 6 inches off the plate.

Otherwise, games would never get out of the first inning.

I’m with BabyTac. There are at least 20 lacrosse teams for 2030s in Houston. Same for Austin, and in Dallas it’s probably 40. Tournament in Plano, Austin, southlake, Great.

Now that ex wife is in charge, son is on a team that is going to Las Vegas, Arizona, and Dallas for the three tournaments this season. He’s on two different teams in the same season, not including indoor LAX.

My buddy was umpiring a t-ball game back in high school. I was the stat tracker at that field. Keep in mind they didnt keep score in t-ball and these kids were maybe 4 years old. My buddy called a kid out and this kids grandpa, who was walking with a cane and looked to be on death's doorstep, started hollering and screaming about it. After the game, he confronted my buddy, who's like 6'4", and grabbed him by the collar and threatened to beat his arse for calling his grandkid out.

Football camp - A guy was shot in the stomach by his gf/wife/side piece

10u baseball coach lost his mind on one of the kids during practice. Called him fig, dumbass, useless, etc. All this bc the kid didn’t run through 1st. Oh and the kids dad was deployed overseas. He and I had a heart to heart.

Jr. High football game prick coach kicks my friend as he comes off the field. His big and bad Dad comes down out of the stands hollerin and rolling up his sleeves. Deputy in uniform was there and stops him from going on the field to kick his arse. They stayed in parking lot outside the field house till midnight waiting for coach to come out. He never did and they finally left.

I played baseball back in the early 70s thru early 80s in a small town in south Alabama. About a third of the players were black and the rest were white. One night, I was pitching and I hit a fellow classmate in the arm with a wild pitch. I’m white. He’s black. He yells, “Hey, you trying to kill me?” I say, “Just take your base, Willy”. The next day, in school, I see him in the lunchroom and I say to him, “Willy, I’ve never tried to hit any batter in my life. Why’d you get so mad?” He said, ‘I know. It hurt and I just blurted it out.” We both laughed. That’s about all I got. I feel sorry for kids these days. I blame social media. Truly the devil’s workshop.

Knew a high school JV basketball coach. He cut a kid. Kid was terrible.

Parents went nuts and somehow forced a meeting with AD etc., wanting to know how this was going to affect his draft status.

Parents were outwardly appearing normal, well-to-do folks. Father was high up in local government and Mother was well-placed on the corporate ladder.

I don't understand much about these type people or whatever world they inhabit.

It was the craziest shite I’ve seen man. They did it while being escorted out. Guess the two cops didn’t see it.
