Somewhere within the Laredo, Corpus Christi, San Antonio triangle would qualify, unless the border patrol has a closer eye inland than I think.

Upon further review I wouldn’t classify this area plus the valley as “lawless,” just corrupt as hell. You can def get into some trouble back home, but if you know the right people you can pretty much get away with anything short of murder or rape.

If you mean disregard for he law by the Parish authorities in the area, then I'm with you. St. Tammany has some very sleazy/dark things that go down...and the residents don't care so long as their homes continue to appreciate at 4-5% a year
