I would imagine Starks in northwest Calcasieu could give anywhere in the country a run for their money.

I understand swaths of Detroit are completely unmonitored and unpatrolled.

Not saying they are criminals or anything but I just don’t know how you enforce much in the Alaskan interior.

There are many people living up there that wanted to get off the grid. Lots of roughnecks, and loose women that followed the money, stayed. My nephew told me the O&G business slow-down has crime in Anchorage way up. He's the only relative I still have up there. My brother moved up there in the 70's. Back then Anchorage felt a little like Morgan City with the bars and hookers, plus they had a bunch of little cheap casinos.

It depends. We've got more cops here than we need. Some places in the interior have areas the size of small States with little or no presence and lots of outlaws. Nancy Lakes-willow area was like that once.

The correct answer is a 50 sq. mile stretch of Yellowstone in which you can literally get away with murder

What does lawless mean? There are plenty areas in Alaska and the mountain West where you could do almost anything without bing caught or even noticed.

Sabine Parish (Many, Zwolle). It wasn't called "No Man's Land" without reason. Also, in the latter stages of developing LA, it earned said nickname because it was unsettled and was a "buffer" between law and criminal.

No Man's Land stretched all the way down to Calcasieu/Cameron Parish. That zone was not a good place to travel through. Criminals were pretty much the only people that lived there.

And Cameron Parish is a shite answer, OP. Try driving down 27 faster than 55 and tell me it's lawless.

South Texas would be a pretty good answer, especially just SW of San Antonio. There ain't shite out there except some small towns. You could kill someone and dump the body out there and it may never be found.

I bet the Appalachians are shady as frick too.

Grand Isle, where dove hunters can set fire to public or private property and shoot doves off bird feeders without risk of being bothered by law enfocement.

As others have said, many places out west. Ranchers are free to graze on public lands without paying their lease fees, launch armed take overs and damage federal buildings and get off scott free when brought to trial. Imagine if a group of black folks did that...

Technically.

It also matters the manner in which you kill the person. Can't break other laws.
