I once made a run at the Big Texan 72oz steak dinner in Amarillo, TX. That's 6 lbs of steak along with the shrimp cocktail, the baked potato, salad and roll with butter in an hour. Was well on my way to crushing it (or so I thought). Probably did about 2/3 of the steak before time ran out....thankfully. This was New Year's Day 1991.

I am assuming it doesn't have much fat on it, but do you have to eat the fat as well?

We are stopping at the Big Texan in a couple weeks during the trip.

21 slices of pizza hut pizza and 6 breadsticks back when I was 19 at a pizza hut buffet. Felt sick for about 4 hours afterwards.

At a Vegas bachelor party I ate 3 ribeye steaks and 3 baked potatoes at Kristofer’s Steakhouse at The Riviera. Fell asleep sitting up when they brought the dessert out

When I was 20 I had a 23 or 24oz sirloin at some steak place in Dallas. Also ate a baked potato, a garden salad and a large piece of garlic bread. There was virtually nothing left. It was enough food to pack a football helmet solid.

Some chinese buffet my dad always ate at had snow crab legs on the buffet.
I ate with him one day after golf, as soon as we walked in you hear "OH NO NO, we charge you extra!"

True story - I was there when it happened. My brother and his roommates went to Panchos on Sunday nights, and the 4 of us were big eaters. I think we were asking for plates of flautas when she took it away.

I went to an all you can eat buffet up by toledo bend and they had frog legs on that bitch. I cleared them out a couple times. I went puke and came back and ate some more.

Probably at Miss Mary Bobo's Boarding House in Lynchburg, TN. If you are in the area it's definitely worth a visit. Reservations are probably needed.
