I know a bunch of other players played college ball from Woodlawn. I seem to remember my dad saying they had another qb that was just as good that was killed in Vietnam.

Trey Prather - the only name I ever looked up on the Vietnam Memorial

I haven’t watched this since I saw it in the theater, but do I remember correctly that a boom mike was in the shot multiple times?

One night i would like to take her out to a real nice (one of higher end) restaurant. Her knees are not that great so any recommendations appreciated.

Not high-high end, but I really like Giada’s in The Cromwell.

I wish Marcus King would cover Trudy

It's a great book to read

This was the first Stephen King novel I read, after Night Shift short story collection. I was 12 yr old - probably not age appropriate…

Good thing these stupid laws weren’t around when Mr Ferguson was principal at Waskom HS. He’d still be in jail.

Or Mr. Barr at Stonewall HS

The new Wall Street Journal iPad app really sucks.

I agree. There is an iPad WSJ Print app that at least is structured like the paper, but it’s harder to read.
My favorite sitcom episode:
The Mary Tyler Moore Show - Chuckles Bites the Dust
All Quiet on the Western Front (1930)
The Best Years of Our Lives (1946) - actually a postwar movie
Paths of Glory (1957)

None have intense battle scenes, compared to more recent movies, but all are amazing and powerful films. I watched They Shall Not Grow Old again on a flight last week. It’s great too.

FYI, he loves World War 2 books and general history.

I recently read Modern Times by Paul Johnson. It’s a great overview of the 20th century with interesting perspectives.
