In walker, an L comes after the A.. In Watson, a T follows the A.

Disclaimer: Prior to moving to Walker, I lived in Denham just outside the city limits out towards Live Oak.
I'm from Central but I lived damn near in Walker (Juban Rd) for 7 years. I found Walker to have a little more white trash than Watson (didn't really bother me) but also completely agree that it had more amenities for a rural suburb. It was also closer to the interstate so it made traveling to other places less of a hassle.

Walker has law enforcement officers who take their town’s speed limit very seriously. Watson has LPSO which can extend some leniency.

Biggest difference: Watson is 20 minutes from the Interstate while Walker is right at it.
Biggest difference is the landfill.
Walker would have a tremendous edge being located on the interstate and with more eating options and other small shopping locations. The landfill is such a negative for this area because it truly smells the entire area. Simply drive from the Juban exit to the Satsuma exit and just smell the difference in the air. It’s God awful. I wish the citizens of Walker would start a movement to prevent further dumping in this parish. I would support it fully along with anyone else in the LP.

The one they have now has worse service than Popeye’s so I wouldn’t hang my hat on that.

i live only a couple of miles from it and on most days there's no smell, bit when it's on, it's pretty bad. agree on the white trash also, easily the worst part of the area. thinking about putting my kids in private school because of the trash in the area. hoping that eventually there's enough growth to replace the trailer parks with a more affluent citizen base.

One has a closer interstate, and one has more white trash. The other is Watson.

To summarize these threads it seems the meth labs in Walker are closer to the interstate than the meth labs in Watson...

They both like to play the “flood victim” card like their neighboring town, Denham Springs
If I could have chosen not to flood, I would have. Not sure what "flood victim card" means exactly to you, but when your house floods it kind of messes up your world. But if you haven't flooded you don't get it and never will until it happens to you. So GFY.
