Is there even a difference in your opinion?

Some key differences imo.

Plant Baw:
-Likely to be found in Ascension, St. James, and Iberville Parishes.
-Probably not as tough, seeing as to it most are operators and sit in AC all day
- Probably have an actual house and maybe a little more class

Construction Baw:

- Likely to be found in Livingston parish
- Made tough from hanging iron all day in the Louisiana heat
- Probably have some time of mobile home because they will be looking for a new job when the current project is up

Plant baws are a higher class of baw. Those plants have good benefits and a decent plant baw can make close to 100k

Most construction baws are being replaced by mexicans

It's not plant baw vs construction baw as many of the construction workers work inside of plants. The difference is operator baw vs contractor baw.

Contractor is a construction worker there doing turnaround work or maintenance. The operator is staff of the plant itself. Both have a trade school education and quite possibly got their job via nepotism, but the operator baw is paid like twice as much to do very very very little actual work.

One spends all their time on tigerdroppings while the other spends all their time ducking the foreman.

Probably not much. Maybe waist size favoring the construction Baw but even that is a coin toss.

I always assume people who start these threads don't work, or are hotel desk clerks or similar trying to put on airs by pretending to hate baws

Base pay without an hour of overtime is about 93k at my plant. That’s a topped out operator (4 years in)

With overtime and bonus it’s easily over 125k

Used to work construction during the summers . I have a strong appreciation for all types of baws because I knew I couldn’t wait to get back in an Air Conditioned classroom.

Plant baw not being on the road doesn't have Jody sneaking over his fence and can help Kayden perfect his home run swing.
