I don’t buy they make 44 dollars an hour
Some make more, some make less. But very few 3-4 year operators are making below $40 an hour

Those plants have good benefits and a decent plant baw can make close to 100k
I don’t know an operator at any plant with 2+ years that doesn’t make 100k. Working less than 200 hrs OT at that.

Used to work construction during the summers. I have a strong appreciation for all types of baws because I knew I couldn’t wait to get back in an Air Conditioned classroom.
Same here. Any doubt of not wanting to finish school or the desire to just party and chase girls when I went back was gone after I was done that summer. Working 6, and sometimes 7 days a week, in the South Louisiana heat will teach you that getting up everyday for an 8am and doing nothing but school during the weeks is really not that bad. When I have kids, and they get to be 17 and 18 years old, I want to try and get them a contracting job in a plant to teach them discipline, hard work, and to take school seriously.

I'm a plant baw and make 140k. Is that close to 100k?

I’m not CNN. I love facts.

Good because your CM pals are stating facts.
I intentionally used it to make my argument seem smarter but doesn’t change that all CM grads (at least at LSU) graduate in the college of engineering

I mean, it's true, but it's intentionally misleading. A CM degree is a hybrid engineering/business degree, but it doesn't require a PE Exam, and graduates cannot legally call themselves "engineers".

Nor does any engineering degree to obtain an engineering degree.
The FE (which CM students can take if they want) is a better exam to use.
ETA: An engineering graduate cannot officially call themselves an "engineer" either until they pass the PM, which could be years after graduating
