Tell me your boil sucks without saying your boil sucks.

Gotta agree. Crawfish are pretty overrated.

I rank the things you posted above meh crawfish. Meh crawfish being early season expensive and small like people that people cook just to post on social media.
But good sized mid season crawfish cooked and seasoned right are above everything you posted.

Hey Seinfeld, what’s the deal with your Mom and her wanton promiscuity?

I agree. Just this weekend I had a few of my friends come over to watch baseball and we all hung out in the kitchen and watched the roast slow cook for a few hours. It was awesome.
Real men watch the barbecue pit or the grill, not a boiling pot.

even more entertaining if it were your alter head in the boiling pot.

With that "soccer" in your name. I doubt promiscuous women are relevant to you. You weren't by chance the chief of police in Ft. Lauderdale were you?

Crawfish boils are great; crawfish themselves are vastly overrated. I'll never understand people spending the kind of money required to eat crawfish in a restaurant.

Pier 88 does a decent job.

A crawfish boil isn’t a meal, it’s an Event .
This. Its a day with nowhere else to be, good weather, ice cold beer and good people. If you can't enjoy a good crawfish boil, you suck. My favorite is when I start prep at about 10:00 a.m. with a spicy bloody mary and some tunes. Get the chest stocked with some good beer and ice. Do another bloody after the first. Then once the pot is rolling. Once that beer is near arctic temp switch over to that and get the fixins cooking and make first serving between 1:30 and 2:00. Do a second batch after that which will be more spicy for the adults.
Will do 2or 3 of those a year and I'm good. Frick you if you can't enjoy that.
ETA also, for max enjoyment clean as you go. That way when its over, clear off those tables into pre-lined cans, shoot it with a hose and done.
ETA 2: Mom will usually stay and peel the leftovers and make an etoufee that night which will usually last through the week. Perfection.

I only eat them at an actual boil with friends where the socializing is more important that the crawfish. Not a fan of just going to restaurant and getting fisted for 5 pounds just to sit there with my wife

I sort of agree. I don't think crawfish are overrated, but getting crawfish for $5/lb or more at a restaurant just isn't the same experience as a good boil with friends and family.

Eating a big platter of hot boiled crawfish, side of crackers and cocktail sauce, iced cold beer in a glass mug, and college baseball on the HD big screen.
If you can't understand that little piece of heaven in S. La., then you deserve to be downvoted to oblivion and banned to post only in the poli talk and soccer board.
I look forward to the beginning of crawfish season every single year. Go jack off in anticipation of your pot roast and potatoes, and leave the OT alone, you freakin' yankee.

What is the deal with you folks and crawfish?
I love a good crawfish boil as much as anybody and will suck the guts out of a mess.
BUT....it's not like they are fried chicken, prime rib, or a tender pot roast that has been simmering all day with taters, carrots, onions, and celery. Corn-on-the-cob is also a great side dish with any of the above.
Some of y'all act like Mudbugs are the food of the Gods. We all know that the food of the Almighty is homemade biscuits and gravy.
Well there goes the price of crawfish....
