Malinois, German Rottweilers, & Dobbermans have always been my favorites. My last 2 have been Rotts and we're planning on a Malinois once my old man makes it to dog heaven

I have been team Great Dane for 18 years. I bought my first Dane in 2006 and have adopted ever since.

Nothing like the haunting yellow eyes of a Boykin...

I like my Great Pyrenees but the coyotes don’t.

What breed is this?
We know for sure she has Great Pyrenees and St. Bernard in her. Her color says she has German Shepherd too.
She maxed at 145 lbs. but has slimmed down to 135.

I am partial to the Rhodesian Ridgeback, when you hunt lions for a living everything else in life is cake.
This is the correct answer.

Those look like some good boys and girls.
I absolutely love English Bulldogs, we’ve had two, but they just don’t live long enough
I got this boy a few months after I started having seizures when i was 19 and he got me through a lot.
Miss this girly too.

at least someone posted it. IDGAF what anyone says, ain't nothing prettier than a dog working birds...
I think yellow labs or boykins are prettier, but black labs are easier to train in my experience.

I love my boy! Second Rhodesian I’ve owned. Will own nothing else.

Well needless to say I think he's beautiful, and he's just so damn cool and sweet that many seem to comment on just how pretty he is. I try not to post in these threads, but the longer they go on the less I can resist.

Maybe a little bland, but I've always been partial to treeing walkers.
I’m partial to any of the hounds…blue tick, walkers, redbones, etc.
I don’t have room for big dogs where I live, so we just have 2 beagles in the house now.

How many of these dogs have you had? 90%+ of Americans don't have the physical capacity to exercise these dogs to any level the dogs require. I knew a marine that lived in my neighborhood that had one with a kink in the end of it's tail and it was 10+ miles a day run. Other than that they are beautiful dogs.
I am on my 7th, I had a single dog first and have had 3 litter mate dog and bitch pairs since then. To be in optimum shape they do need a lot of exercise. My wife and I are road cyclists so that doesn't work but this time of year we take them mountain biking and they can do 15-20 miles of single track without issue. Our ace in the hole is just over an acre of fenced backyard that is old-growth hardwoods with about a million squirrels living there. They spend all day chasing squirrels and when we get home they come in and curl up.
I also take them boar hunting a few times a year with my nephew's dogs. They make great open trail dogs and will find pigs when the hound pack won't because they cover so much ground but they will run you and your Dogos into the ground getting to the hogs if there aren't any close.
So like a lot of dogs they need a lot of exercise both physical and mental but our local squirrel population takes care of ours for us.

If I knew how to post them I would. He’s phenomenal.

Feed the dog pure meat and stop giving any grain products or treats and hair problems go away.
