Back when LED light bulbs cost a small fortune I noticed all the bulbs in my sons room where LED. Come to find out a local public bathroom was using them and every time he would go in he would stick one in his pants. Brilliant little bastard

Rolled joints with bible paper
Guilty. Did this when I was transferred out of state after Katrina. Bought a little green off some strippers but didn't have any papers to roll with. Hotel bible came in handy.
BTW, these bibles had at least 4-5 completely blank pages at the beginning and end.

Everclear and water at the bar.
Going to Clear water and got stuck paying tolls.
Grabbed my ashtray and dumped it into the change counter. Then stared at the operator as it ticked upward 1 cent at a time :lol. Made it to 30 cents out of 10 bucks before the guy waived/waved in defeat

I worked one day a week at a hippie arse serving at a local restaurant because employees got free meals once a day, even when not working. At there at least 4 times a week.

Worked at a Chili's in college. Chips and salsa were one of the only things we could get without having to order from the kitchen. For about year, my diet consisted of at least 65% chips and salsa.

I would have a friend call in and order a "pick up" sandwich at the end of the night, and when we closed, split it with whoever I was working with.
Used to work at Domino's a lifetime ago, when internet orders were a new thing, we'd place phantom pickup orders and then cancel them when they came out the oven.

Worked at the island in plaquemine for 4 years once a month so I didn't have to pay membership fees or cart fees

Old lady sat two seats beside me at the movies, put her full large popcorn on the seat between us, never touched it, and left as soon as the credits rolled.
I picked up the bucket, dumped the popcorn in the trash, and brought it to the counter for a free refill.
Then walked back in to watch the movie again.

In college we used to hit up great wall buffet to go. Before they weighed it at checkout. You couldnt close the styrofoam we loaded em up so much. No rice. All meat and veggies. Make rice when we got home and eat on it for 2 days

We might have a winner here. There are layers to this cheapness.

For a while I checked my power meter daily. If I exceeded the daily allotment, I'd turn everything off that I could (e.g. I couldn't turn the refrigerator off and let what little food there was spoil) and stay there in the dark or light candles.

Made a baby. Which also led to the most expensive thing I’ve ever done.

Yea that's pretty impressive.
The person that ate chips and salsa for a year is pretty crazy too.
One of my friends worked at mathernes on highland. He would let me know when they put out the old fruit for the garbage. It never touched the dumpster because I would pull around back and he would load it in my truck.
