I’d say 3 but I’m biased, own a silver 2000 Sport (just like the pic). I would like to buy another 3Gen in Hunter Green...Love those! You missed the pic though of 2010-‘13 models...I think those have the great exteriors, especially in Trail trim.

That weaker engine can be tuned to have more power. Hell it's the only engine I know of that gains power just from 93 octane.

I drove a '00 SR5 all through high school and college and gave it to my parents with 275k miles. They are over 300k miles and still have had no major issues with it.

I miss it. It was loud, got bad mileage, and had a bumpy ride, but it was the best.

What I’ve been driving for 19 years now...255K & counting. Will buy 4Runner again whenever the wheels fall off

I'm already planning for a 2015 or 16 next year. Can't wait. Just not sure which one is better.

I thought about picking up a 4-Runner, but I think I'm about to pull the trigger on an FJ Cruiser.
Anyone have any experience with the FJ and maybe a year to steer clear of?

I traded in a 2007 Sport with 255K on it in December for a 2018 TRD Off Road. I've loved both of them

I came very close to buying one when they first came out around 2005-2006. I love the look. My main problem with them was the blind spots. You can’t see shite. And the gas mileage is abysmal.

an 85 with the solid front ax + removal top is the crown jewel for me

A second gen with a 4 cyl 22re (same as the Toyota pickups) won’t ever die, just underpowered

I had a 94 Trooper that was bomb proof.
Bought it for $3500 in 2003 and drove it for 6 years.

Wish I still had it.

No :( Haven’t for a long time.

I think they made some FJs with a stick and Tacomas still have it as an option I believe?
