This is a more PC way of what I was going to say.

The first time me I took my future wife went to meet my parents, she bitched about my driving the entire first 5 miles. I pulled over on the side of the road , reached over, and opened her door. I told her I was going to the lake and meet my parents and if she would be quiet she could go with me. She didn’t say anything so I slammed the door and drove on. I made an effort to make sure and slow down, a little.

It was quiet the rest of the way, but when we got there, she was fine and was excited to be there. She realized I wasn’t going to put up with any shite and we had an understanding.

We’ve had a lot of misunderstandings over the last 36 years, but she knows I’m not gonna take the bitching, and she respects that. Women will run over you and dump you if they don’t respect you. It’s just how relationships work.

Just don’t put the pussy on a pedestal. She will respect you if you respect yourself.

All women will friend zone you if they don’t respect you.

I had dated a LOT of women that bitched and moaned about everything. That was their schtick. I liked my wife better than that and wasn’t going to let our relationship go that route. I thought we could be better than that. We laughed about it later, but she respected that I wasn’t gonna just take the bitching and let it ride.

First time I was ever serious about a girls my dad told me “Any time you have the though she may be the one, look at her mom and decide, is that someone you wanna be with in 20-30 years”

When I got married, a buddy told me the first time you have the opportunity, put your in laws in their place. He said do it politely but it will set boundaries early.

I look back and realize how right he was.
