I congratulate you for at least using credit cards to get some rewards and not being the Dave Ramsey guy who thinks they are the devils work.
It cannot understand people not using a cash rewards card. The Amex has 3% on groceries 2% on gas and 1% on everything else, or you can do 6% on groceries. That is a lot of money if you have a family. I end up with over $50 in cash back each month.
Using a debit card makes 0 sense and puts you at much greater risk should someone steal it.

It's true. Once you have enough money, you don't need silly points and shite. Carry cash and keep your anonymity

Amex platinum for business. Haven’t paid for hotels or flights since ‘13 with the points. But I know better

I use an Alliant Signature Visa - Cash back is 3% first year, then 2.5% thereafter. No cap on cash back and all purchases qualify - only thing that doesn't is balance xfer or cash advance, and we don't need it for either of those. We use it for everything we can and pay it off every month. Brings a lot of real cash back that I generally take twice a year, once at big family vacay time and once at Christmas.
I realize some of the travel cards might bring rewards that have nominally higher values, but I like the cash coming back whenever I want it.
Free for first year, and I believe $59 after.

JP Morgan Visa is a good choice. It is similar to the chase sapphire reserve, but this one you have to have an account with JP Morgan private client services. It is made of metal and is fairly heavy... only “problem” are the inevitable comments from people when you use it.

Ballers aren't asked to pay. It's all settled through accounting days later.

My premier card is the Amex American Airlines Executive card.
Bunch of shite, but the admirals lounge access is key.

This card cost $1000 per year to own and made of rare metal. It is only available to private clients/invitation only. Not advertised to gen public.

Exactly... Which is why it qualifies as an OT baller card.

There are some cards that pay a higher percentage, but they often do so only up to a certain amount of spending.
I use Discover and Cap One Quicksilver and have earned many thousands of dollars. Discover lets you use cashback to buy gift cards worth even more. ($45 cashback credit gets you a $50 Lands End card, etc.).
I just had Quicksilver send me a $200 card for Lowe’s and a $100 card for Bed Bath and Beyond. Free money. And I still have over $1,000 of cashback credit.

Black, Platinum, Prestige? What are the advantages?
It depends on how much money you spend and how you spend it.

Ot ballers carry cash. And lots of it.
Unless they're going to a strip club or have a need to keep a transaction anonymous, I don't know why anyone - no matter how rich - would carry a lot of cash.

Maybe it's just because I don't travel a lot, but I'd much rather have cash back than points and miles.
Cash back / points / miles all having equal weight, I agree with you. I have a Capital One Quicksilver card that pays 1.5% cash back with no annual fee. Capital One also has a Venture travel card that pays about 2% cash back for travel. I travel enough to justify all of my rewards going to that area, but the card has an annual fee that would offset the 0.5% rewards difference between the Quicksilver and Venture. If I were a bigger spender, I would go with the Venture over the Quicksilver. But being a modest spender, I'm better off the Quicksilver.

Paying for things up front is the best credit card
I agree to an extent.
Let's say I want to buy $1,000 TV. I would save until I have the $1,000, then I would go buy the TV. However, I would buy it with my credit card and then pay it off once it cleared a day or two later. I would then get $15 cash back that I wouldn't get with cash or a debit card.
But using a credit card to buy a $1,000 TV that I couldn't pay off immediately? No, I wouldn't do that.

A rewards card for your favorite airline. Imo.
I still have a Southwest credit card through Chase that I have had for about five years and only use periodically now to keep it active. I used to fly Southwest all the time, but most of my flights nowadays are to Europe (where SW doesn't fly) and I'm better at finding flight deals than I used to be. I don't think it would benefit me to have a card through any particular airline. The SW card also carries an annual fee.
I have enough points left on my SW card to take a RT flight somewhere in the United States. I am going to book that next month - probably for a Yellowstone trip - and then upgrade to the Freedom. I won't use the card much because I want to keep building up money on my Quicksilver card, but I want to keep the credit.

I couldn't agree more.

Damn. I could put that to good use, but I'm not near a Sam's.

That's cool. As I mentioned earlier, I have a Quicksilver card too. I haven't had any offers like that, but I also only have about $325 in rewards built up.

Amex Platinum. Good card. Good benefits if you travel often.
They also just came out with a high quality metal version of the card. It's definitely an upgrade over the previous plastic version. They also removed the account number off the front of the card - consistent with other premium cards such as Citi Prestige, Chase Sapphire Reserve and Ritz Carlton Rewards. It looks and feels good.
Annual fee is $550 so if you don't travel you won't be getting your money's worth. If you do travel though, you get upgraded to Marriott, Hilton and Starwoods Gold status. You also get deals on car rentals and deals on other premium hotel lines. $200 in Uber credits annually. Up to $200 on airline fees (checked baggage or anything you order on a plane). In addition to some other cool stuff.
