What I'd like to know is why Florida uses numbers and letters to designate roads.
Do an other states do this? I don't think I've ever noticed it in another state. As far as I know, every road, whether Federal, State, or county, is numeric only.

Traded in my wife’s Suburban and got an extra $3000.00 on the trade because I left the 30A sticker on the rear window.

The company owner is a transplant from Alabama who shrewdly trademarked the name years ago an turned it into a lifestyle brand.

He’s a great guy but also a big Alabama fan. Hope you take that into consideration when you slap the sticker on your bumpers.

Plenty of other states do this. Off the top of my head, the states similar to Florida are New Jersey, Connecticut, New York, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Vermont, Delaware, Illinois, Nebraska, South Dakota, and Oklahoma.

I know there are some states that assign smaller state routes to nothing but letters, but I can't remember who does this right now.

I flew over the area about two weeks ago. Panama City, St Joe, etc...

It’s all still pretty wrecked. Blue tarps everywhere and no the area is not repaired yet. There is definitely improvement, but it’s going to take a long time.

The areas that got hit are not predominantly wealthy. Insurance payouts are happening but some are having trouble getting the money.

So yankee states and the states Yankees transplant to, generally speaking.

Not a bad thing, just an observation.

The 30A sticker means you paid 75% more than you should have for your salt life sticker.

For the beaches we stopped going to the Florida panhandle 10 years ago. Now it’s the Bahamas and Caribbean. About the same price but the beaches and water are exponentially better.

Missouri.

Driving up 55 to St. Louis last year and you could see this.

It was weird.

Federal highways use numbers and letters in other states too. Dallas has 35E and Fort Worth has 35W.

Not sure he was including directional designations like east and west.
