Waste Management landfill. DEQ needs to shut that place down. You smell it for at least a mile when you drive I-12.

Dude, for real....
We were on our way back from Florida, wife was asleep, smell of arse infiltrated car, wife wakes up and proceeded to hit my arm because she thought I had farted.

Farts from satisfied customers at the new Piccadilly on Juban. The wind carries their toxic gas all the way to Walker

Back in the mid-1980’s, there was a train derailment near that interstate exit that closed it down for a while. There were some hazmat concerns and some cleanup was done but that was “the sticks” at the time so I’m sure they didn’t really do much cleaning. No telling what chemicals were on that train or how bad it really was.
And just down the road, there was a big creosote plant at the southeast corner of I-12 and the Hammond exit that you’d take for Hammond Square. I’m sure that site was cleaned up really well, too.
