I think you are right. MCU is slightly better on screen than in print, but far inferior to DCU. It is like comparing Universal to Disney. Star Wars is some kind of fantasy, perhaps fantasy space western, that has never interested me. But you are getting massive downvotes. Maybe now the real nerds are fake nerds, I don't know anymore.
