I'm pretty sure the state said at this point they are counting every death with a positive result as a COVID death. Is that true? and if so, where is the proof that it is? I remember reading it somewhere but can't remember the source and don't want to base my opinions off of pure memory without being able to back it up.

TIA

The LDH says that they count as a Covid death even those that don’t have a positive test but had Covid symptoms.

That is not true at all. The LDH website shows only 206 Probable Covid Deaths and they are shown separate from the confirmed deaths. It says,
quote:

Probable COVID deaths are death identified by coroners and/or physicians as COVID-19 deaths or as probable/suspected/possible COVID-19 deaths without a lab positive result. This number could change if pending test results turn out positive or negative.

LDH Nursing home report 10/21

It’s in the fine print of every nursing home report (weekly)

quote:

Currently, all deaths in individuals with COVID positive lab results are being counted, this may include individuals with pre-existing conditions, individuals who have met the "end of isolation" criteria prior to death, or individuals ultimately determined to have another cause of death.

My understanding that hospitals pick up $40K + for each COVID death, so I will let you decide how these are record3d.

Well that’s what Wisconsin was doing, completely inflating their results via out of context definition and I’m 99% sure that’s what honor code is doing.

Even if a person is recovered from COVID and then later dies of something else, they are a COVID death

Absolutely, what some of these elected officials and media people are doing is out of control at this point
