Where are we talking about, in Texas?

That's just the culture and I dont know what your problem is.

I travel all over the state and have been to many Texas towns. I can think of many places and events I've attended where just about every man was wearing a cowboy hat. I dont see one problem with it all. That's how generations of Texans have dressed. Its western wear.

A guy I work with was a rodeo cowboy back in the 70's & 80's. he said you could tell which were the real cowboys and which were the posers. The real cowboys usually had on a baseball cap and tennis shoes.

The trend I’ve noticed is guys tucking their jeans into their boots now. It’s the dumbest shite I’ve ever seen.

That's for when your actually out working in the woods, field, construction site, or oil patch and you dont want your pants getting muddy.

Yet again I dont understand you asshats problem with workwear or western wear.

Nah, my headwear starts and ends with a baseball cap.

I’ll wear one doing yard work or if Im going to be outdoors with limited shade for an extended time like a festival etc.

Skin cancer etc, not fashion.

From my observations, they seem to think that this makes them intimidating. No matter the physical stature of the hat wearer, the simple presence of the hat on their head somehow makes them Billy Badass.

Or you know, they could just be cattlemen.

You might want to trade in that Astros cap and switch to the Yankees.

How can you like anything about Texas and also have such disdain for a cowboy hat?

Ok, this oughtta be good: So what exactly does the act of riding horses tell you about the rider? Other than, you know, he or she enjoys riding horses?

I get and understand that, although I wouldn’t wear em like that in those instances either. I’m talking about the fact that I’ve seen numerous guys out at bars and the like wearing their boots and jeans like that.

I don’t have a problem with either one. I wear boots and jeans almost everyday and am prone to wear a cowboy hat from time to time.

Ok, Gotcha. I agree a boot wearer should only tuck the jeans if actually working.

Maybe you are the one intimidated. Did someone in a cowboy hat whip your arse when you were young?

I have never been intimidated by what someone is wearing.

Yet, here's a Yankees fan defending the hell out of a cowboy hat.

I wear a brimmed hat. Not a cowboy hat per se, but a similar style. Keeps the sun out of my eye.
