This is actually 100% true. Dude does a TON of charity work, but because he has a stupid haircut and wears bowling shirts no one notices.
I don't watch his shows because his TV persona (or maybe his real persona? I don't know, I haven't met him) is a bit much for my taste, but there's no denying he does a lot of really great work that goes unnoticed.

I love Guy.
Is he gimmicky? Yeah, but that's what his brand was built on.
I think he does know food, and you're not going to find anyone who fights harder for small, local restaurants and their staffs. He provides so much support for those in the industry and has brought so much business to those who may not have seen it otherwise.
Plus, he doesn't take himself too seriously, he has a great sense of humor and seems fun. I'd love to have a beer with him.

If all Food Network ran was DDD instead of stupid arse reality cook-offs (I know Grocery Games) I’d watch all the time.
Side note: We’ve hit a few of those spots on tour and all legit.

I had the opportunity to spend time with Andrew at a work event several years ago, and this couldn't be further from the truth. He is an absolutely LOVELY man. Genuine, funny, kind, engaging, knowledgable. 10/10 would work with him again. Excellent human.

The wife and I have hit up about half a dozen places that have been on Triple D. Have yet to be disappointed. The last place we went to had the best Italian sub I've ever had.
ETA: Here's the sandwich, the Italian Special.
Prosciutto, soppressata, capocollo, mortadella, provolone, ham, homemade fresh mozzarella, roasted peppers, lettuce, and tomato served with a balsamic reduction.

Guy Fieri Raises Over $22 Million for Out of Work Restaurant Employees

He came to Pawleys Front Porch in Columbia when I was a senior at USC. The staff there and my ATO friends on the segment all said he was cool.

Why is Guy Fieri?
Posted on 11/12/20 at 6:30 pm to Saint Alfonzo
I’ll never admit it to my wife, but I really do like watching Triple D.

Cafe Rakka is about 1/2 mile from a studio I work out of in Hendersonville. Unreal Med food.

Man, I can watch that shite for a few hours at a time. Few things capture my attention like delicious food and the process behind it.
If being a chef wasn't such a shitty, terrible paying job, it's something I would genuinely enjoy pursuing.

Don't know why he gets as much static on here as he does. His DD&D show he does a great job of letting the local chefs and owners be the star of their segment. It's obvious he really enjoys cooking and the people he interacts with. Don't understand the hate.

Isn’t he the guy (no pun intended) whose name is on all of the burger bars in the carnival cruise ships?
