What is an event that occurred to you despite the odds being incredibly low?

Could be winning a contest or getting hit by a car twice in 1 day.
Stuff like that.

Didn't happen to me, but I recently listened to a story where a guy who was trail running and got attacked, gored, and launched by a bison. It roughed him up, but not terribly bad considering, broke some ribs and needed stitches. It was worse for him mentally. He refused for the longest to go back to that trail. Some time later he met a girl on a dating site and they started hanging out. On one of their first dates she convinced him to go back to that trail to watch the sunset. She went ahead while he did something I can't remember. A few minutes later a group of Boy Scouts came running down the trail looking for help.
She had gotten to the same bend of the same trail that the guy had been on when the bison got him where a bison also attacked, gored, and launched her. She recovered, but the relationship didn't last. He never went back to that trail.

What does knocking on cardboard sound like?

I hit a no-look behind the back Cornhole shot at Boschamps in Destin while waiting on a table in October 2020. My mother in law saw it and gave me the Mr. Miyagi nod.

Poor guy in for new diagnosed Lung cancer treatment, I found leukemia and multiple myeloma too... not a good day for him.
Now it isn't uncommon to develop Multiple myeloma along with Leukemia or even have them lead to metastatic cancer but finding all 3 at first time diagnosis is just extra bad luck.

My first frame I ever bowled I picked up a 7-10 split
It was at a college event where most people were there to drink and only a couple people were bowling. I told someone I had never bowled and they gave me their ball. After picking it up I chugged my beer and walked out the door

Seriously? That’s wild! Did you understand how unlikely that was.
