Used to be lots of good cheap grad student rentals in the areas surrounding the garden district and mid city that are on the lsu bus route and a nice bike ride thru lakes area to get to campus. Arlington, Rittner, streets around there.

UGA has dorms reserved for upper class and grad students so you don't have to deal with undergrad hijinks and typical dorm behavior.

FSU grad school had those when I was in grad school. They were nothing but foreign students living there.

When I was at LSU SVM we lived in a private apartment off of Brightside View. Quick bike ride or drive to school. Had classmates in Lake Beau Pre and Sharlo. A lot has changed since I was there tho.

I know very little about the goings on at LSU, but I know that’s a damn hard school to get into. Congrats OP.

I have a condo in the garden district I’m looking to rent. I lived there during grad school. Happy to share more details if you’re interested.

How many years is she going to be there? If you’re able to, buy a townhome or a small house in the area.

Lake Beau Pre Condominium complex just past the subdivision of the same name. I live there and it’s gated, relatively safe and about a five minute drive to the Vet School.

This. Owned a house in Riverbend for 17 years. Three 4-bedroom rental house on street the entire time, 1 for LSU Law students, and 2 for Vet School students. Two vet school house were next door to each other: 1 had LA kids and 1 had TX kids.

How about the married student housing behind left field. I'm assuming that's still there.
