If DOT put cameras all along I10 (Not just the basin) that fined you based on how fast you reached each checkpoint (Camera) what would be a posted Speed Limit that you would be happy with? 75? 80?

Faster than the shutter-speed of the cameras.

it's 60 on I-10 between highland and the 10-12 split, yet everyone does 80 at least.

It's 75 between Orange and Beaumont and that's the slow end of the speed people go.

Does the speed limit really matter?

I am fine with most any reasonable speed so long as slow traffic would just keep the frick right.

It should be 90. And you should be fined an inordinate amount if the camera catches you doing less than 90 in the left lane.

All interstates should be three lanes. The speed limit for the middle and left lane should be at least 80, minimum should be 70. It should be illegal to ride in the far left lane other than to pass. All vehicles over two axles should be legally required to remain in the right hand lane at all times. No more of this shite where an 18 wheeler doing 67.16 mph takes 20 miles to pass another 18-wheeler doing 67.15 MPH.

70 is good, you can go between 70-80. That's fast enough for people in today's distracted driving world.

It does when your fine is not based on actual speed but time in between checkpoints. Most people speed because they know where the law is sitting. Speed / slow down / Speed. That would be irrelevant as this would track your distance over time giving your average speed

85 is a good cruising speed in my truck so 90 would be a decent limit.

Depends on the place/area. Some places are 60 or 65 but should be 70-75.

I think 75-80 would be a good general speed limit.
