What if the United States remained a British colony

Most people may be unaware of this, but during the onset of the Revolutionary War, many Americans were Tories (people sympathetic to the crown) and the wars original intention was to have more representation in Parliament and less oppressive taxes.

In reality, 1/3 wanted independence, 1/3 wanted to remain with the crown, and 1/3 just wanted to be left alone.
It's an interesting question for certain. One of the big changes would have been how the lands west of the Appalachians would have developed. The British had an embargo on settlement west of the mountains per treaties with the local native tribes.

Would be crazy if the whole US was one gigantic British colony

It wouldn't have remained for long.

Another solid post by volod.
What if the Romans had been able to keep England? Or the Vikings?
This is a fun game!

What if LSU was Southern University?

We would have inevitably broken away like every other large British colony did after us. It was only a matter of time for someone to do it first

You'd all join me for afternoon tea and scones.

When did the Vikings have England? The Danelaw preceded England and never included Wessex.
