Do you think 24 Delta Force solders could have saved the Alamo?

Davy Crockett gets night goggles and 50 cals are on the ramparts. Enough to turn the tide? Enough to drive back the illegals?

Spoiler alert: Texas remains in US hands!

They would still all die. Just like the Legion did in the Battle of Camaron.

ETA:

Oh you are talking about with modern capabilities? What a dumb question. You could have one guy a half mile calling in air and artillery strikes and win in that instance.

After watching "The Beekeeper", that guy could have done it by himself.

The AI had a the Mexican artillery man loading the cannon ball on the back of the cannon. Well done.

About as much chance as a silverback gorilla vs a grizzly bear.

You saw what happened in The Final Countdown. Nimitz easily handled the Japs.

Havent watched it , but yes they could. Get your snipers to immediately pick off Santa Ana and those under him and watch morale crumble and then they flee.

The AI animation in that was AWFUL. I couldn't watch it. Loading cannons from the rear and not the breach? Glowing alien eye nods? Terrible.

I think an interesting question would be if modern delta operators were sent back in time, Terminator style. All the knowledge and ops wisdom, but none of the pew pew tech.

Didnt a powder magazine blow and thats what really turned the tide for the good guys at the alamo? Really wonder what a team of 24 delta would have done in that scenario.

24 Modern soldiers with modern weapons could have defended the Alamo. They would not need to be delta or any other special operations group.

Modern weapons are so much overpowered compared to what the Mexicans would have had.

Just that simple sniper concept mentioned earlier would kill morale.

If Aunt Norma had balls and a cock, she’d have been Biden’s Surgeon General.
