The American left has controlled or made in roads into entertainment, mainstream media and news, social media and big tech, almost every bureaucratic facet of American government (the administrative state), churches, academia, K-12 schooling and most sectors of big business.
They've been able to take ideas that 85% of the public does not want, and use these institutions to force feed them to the public, and then squash any objection. They've controlled the narrative and dictated what goes in the movies and TV shows your kids watch, the books and textbooks they read, the lessons at church, what they're taught in school, what they're shown in college, what they're exposed to by DEI initiatives in their workplace, and all of that is reinforced in media, social or otherwise.
Then the world's richest man decides he doesn't like what they've done and dismantles a major piece of a 20 year + project in the span of weeks. They're completely unaccustomed to being challenged in their safe spaces, and until now they've been able to dictate terms to the wealthy and powerful forces in this country.
