What happens when Drew stands for the flag/anthem??

We all know that TV is going to be on him...
Death threats again? Mob on Twitter?
Retirement...
I can see this playing out...no way he would want to kneel ...why would he do this if the anthem gives honor to his grandfather?
He has been pressured to be "woke" but he isn't woke because real woke people can see the folly going on...
He wants to please both sides...that's obvious
he strikes me as a guy that is going to want to stand.... because of principle, tradition, and honor knowing full well that kneeling to somehow bring awareness to criminals who resisted arrest is a bad message for young people.
Kap makes enough sense to be dangerous...in the end he is pushing a lie on America...it must be confronted.
Criminals get profiled because they are the profile.
Resisting arrest is dangerous behavior...
I hear zero talk about this issue...from Kap...and BLM

Drew missed a golden opportunity to take a stand and earn even more respect, as well as go out a hero and tell them all to jamb it. I cant imagine he needs them nearly as much as they need him.

He will kneel and the black activists will still hate him and his supporters will too for taking part in the disingenuous act and catering to the mob. He is fricked (as one can be with millions in the bank and a beautiful wife and family)
I and many other are done with the saints. The NFL has been trying for several years now. The politics, the continued off field behavior of these “righteous” players, and the on field product has slipped as well with terrible rules and officiating. But like others, I talked a big game. Saying I’m done with the NFL. But still I’d watch the Saints. This is the final straw though. I still think you’re a good man Drew. But you didn’t respect your supporters who were with you. A truly sad end to a great career that has seen the renewal of the city after Katrina.

If the NFL is smart, the will keep players in the locker room for the anthem, however, Roger Goodell does not strike me as doing the smart thing in this situation.

People have been bashing him for apologizing. I don't look down on him for apologizing. He didn't take back his stance on the flag, he apologized for failing to see their stance.
Now, if he kneels for the anthem I will have a different view of him. But I don't think he will.

Yep. He could have made a very respectful response that stood up for his beliefs, while also respecting the beliefs of others.
It was a great opportunity, but he was too big of a pussy to seize it.
