SWAT team serves a no knock warrant in your house at 3am

That's what I've been telling the wife for the last six months and 17 days when she's asked "what's the problem". She says I'm full of shite.

You'll have to wear a sign like this in the area you got the ticket. Each state is different but it will probably be for a week which is better than prison

Does this apply to parking citations as well???
Asking...uhhh, for a friend

Not one poster has suggested paying it out of moral obligation.

Your dl will get suspended

In many jurisdictions photo-enforced tickets don't go on your driving record. It will hit your credit report, though. Call the number and pay the damned ticket with your credit card.

Nothing happens. They cannot suspend your license for a civil penalty.
And it WILL NOT go on your credit. I speak from experience. I have about 10 of those things I have thrown in the trash over the last 6-7 years.

I know in DC they report it to a collection agency. Now whether or not that agency reports it to a credit bureau is beyond me (had a colleague contacted and threatened by an agency) so he just paid it. Don't assume it's a one-size fits all deal. I'm sure the procedure varies.

When did Louisiana first start to issue a driver's license? Wasn' t it 1970 or something crazy like that?

call the city and ask them...probably just issue a bench warrant or something

Every state is different. I got several camera tickets in AZ and NM and ignored them all. I've been pulled over since then and never had any issues, and they never showed up on my credit report. Apparently LA takes camera tickets very seriously and you may be thrown in jail.
Also, big difference between camera ticket and ticket from an officer. I did have a ticket in KY I did not pay and several years later in AZ I was pulled over and they wouldn't let me drive home. I had to call KY the next day and pay it so I could have my driving privileges reinstated in AZ.

They won't issue a bench warrant for a camera ticket and everybody saying They will is a complete idiot.
Worst that can happen is that it is reported to a credit bureau and you may have to get it taken off in a year or so.
Otherwise nothing will happen.

nothing until you go to renew your license and find that it's been flagged for non payment of a traffic violation.
