I have no reason to disbelieve you. The character he plays on the radio, however, is unbearably obnoxious.

I was listening to him on the real 9/11 when it happened and he was talking about dropping 10,000 Pitbulls on Iraq or Afghanistan to take care of business.
A couple of weeks later, I called up impersonating a terrorist telling him I would bring Jihad on him. And he went off, saying you rag heads, strapping dynamite to your chest, blah blah blah. LOL

I have talked to him a handful of times. Always seemed like a good guy. People are right about how he can turn on and off his radio persona. Pretty amazing how he flips the switch.

He definitely posts here

Guy looks, acts, and sounds like an uneducated coon-arse.

quote:I used to catch that in N La every so often, happened to hear him interviewing Chris Isaak one day 1994-1995ish, he asked Isaak about his wife how good of a lay she was or something, Isaak got pissed on the air and told Condon he’d beat the shite out of him or similar. It was live and funny as shite.
Back in the 90’s when he was on 100.7

He’s probably still selling lumber, he’ll show up soon on an obscure radio station and he definitely posts here.

Don't know what he's doing professionally, but I guarantee he's riding a stationary bike at a local YMCA for about two hours dropping about two gallons of sweat.

I think you really have to push it to get Hanny that mad

quote:Just play the goddamn music. All these local radio stations think they have some hilarious morning host and they are all COMPLETE HACKS. The period after Condon left was really nice on 98.1 because they would just play songs on my drive to work, none of this other bullshite.
He was a lot better than this Woody douche show they have on in morning drive!

Woody show was better with the lesbian. They added Gina Grad from Adam Carolla and KROC and it has really gone downhill. Cart Narcs was good but gets old. Everything else is just on repeat. I didn't mind Condon. He may have been the only one really shedding light on how bad Broome was. He just beat everything to death.
I can't believe the let SR go. I think Condon got away with a lot because of his friendship with GR. I am not sure, but I think some of the roles there have changed, and maybe GR couldn't justify him anymore. They have 3 stations all competing for the same market share. W/O LSU how much does 98.1 really need DJs for? They are classic rock; you could play literally a different song from the 60-90's and not repeat it for several months. It's essentially the DJ on Spotify, throwing in a horrible Tom petty or Springsteen songs randomly at the worst times. I believe most plays are computer determined now any way.

one of the reasons I seldom listen to terrestrial radio. XM is getting more and more mouthy too, but at least Keith Roth keeps it brief and music related. If they fired Madison, it would go a long way to improving their brand.

98.1 needs major program manager change.
I like Richard. His schtick has made me laugh a bunch over the years. And alot of people may not realize he's quite knowledgeable about basketball and is a huge LSU basketball fan.
I'm not an actual friend of his or anything but he knows who I am when we cross paths at Benny's. And he's messaged me in appreciation for going to bat for him on Twitter in the past.
Hope he's doing well

Yes. Who told XM we want to hear people talk?!we have AM radio for that if we want to hear a human.
The only human I kinda like to hear is Lisa Loeb purring at me every once in a while.

I saw him at one of the casinos (in BR) many years ago. He was one the blackjack table next to mine. His wife was with him and I couldn't hear anything, but he was doing a lot if interacting with the dealer and it all seemed to be good spirited.
Netflix has to buy the rights to this one
