Always crap like."strange person walking through people's yard and looking on side of houses" and it's always the meter reader. The other day somebody posted that there was a suspicious moving van going slowly down the street. It was the landscapers

Wait what? I couldn’t care less about the store. I think it’s crazy people are getting in NextDoor bragging about berating the teenage cashiers because they’re salty it’s something new.

Also. How would you know anything about my typical behavior? Unless.. oh yes, TD openly allows alters now.

Rocket Surgeon, I highly doubt you have the pugnacity nor the pugilistic nature to make such a verbose statement to LouisianaLady’s face.

Neighbor shaming is always popular. The guy that drives too fast down the street. Cutting the line in the middle school que for dropping your kids off. Love to take pictures and post. Heaven help if you ever mention anything semi political because the self know-it-alls jump in. I think Next Door is the sewer of America.

PS: Do you know this lost dog posts! Good Lord people take care of your dogs.

A few weeks ago, a lady made a post about a FedEx truck parked in her cul-de-sac 2 days in a row worried it was scoping out houses to break into. Several people told her to call the cops the next time it's there. The next day it was back and she called the cops. The FedEx driver was parked there eating his lunch on his lunch break.

I get being aware of your surroundings and keeping an eye on abnormal behavior, but some of these people take it way too far. Someone even commented that he was probably just parked there on his lunch break, and the lady responded it was 1 in the afternoon and nobody takes a lunch that late.

People are insane.

I just opened the app and it’s people asking why airplanes fly over their neighborhood so often.

Robert kind of sucks. Shitty selection, shittier prices
Buy the things that Roberts does well. Meat, seafood, and deli stuff, and beer. Everything else go to Albertsons, Rouses, Walmart, or Winn Dixie.

noise at approximately 3:00am 1/24/2020

I am wonder if anyone knows what the noise might be at 3:00 am that sounded like a train continuously rumbling through Lowell and Sheridan. I have my suspicions but want to have it confirmed. thanks

I enjoy Nextdoor. “There’s a man sitting in a car in the street. What should I do?!”

Today there was a long idiotic thread about the glories of socialism. First time I’d seen such direct political talk.

A while back I got into it with some woman bemoaning the lack of “affordable housing” in our area...I told her we live way the F out in the suburbs precisely bc of the lack of affordable housing, and if she really wants some Section 8 in her life there are plenty areas she can move to. She didn’t like that.

You are lucky.

I get a rural, mountain county wide version.
Lots of car window smashes.
Fights. Couples. Drug deals gone bad.
Murder.

Amazingly bad driving.
Running over pedestrians.
Head on collisions at 1 am.
Single car into trees during snow. Not even alcohol involved, just too stupid to go slower in snow and ice. My car had 2 inches of ice/snow on it that day.

Holy shite lmao.

Just went to my hood's fb group and the top post is a shared post from the Irish channel FB about window smashing.

The poster added her own commentary that this is HAPPENING EVERYWHERE and that it must be a "gang" thing. She goes on to say that she lived in Europe and that this activity was funded by terrorist groups and that we shouldn't be naive.

My contribution to ND for the day. Funny thing is, everyone I've interacted with really thinks Mona Lott is a real person.

For Context this was a post where someone was asking people to stop their dogs from barking. There were a ton of responses from people basically saying "Dogs bark get over it".

Dog tied up to a boat for several days
Kind neighbors, please tell me what to do!! There is a puppy that has been tied up in a backyard around the corner from me. I’m pretty sure 24/7! It’s illegal to tie a dog like that and I plan to call animal control about it, not that I expect anything to be done. Corner of ***** and *****. If this is your dog, please speak to me about this.

I wouldn’t tie a dog up for days. Or even have a dog. But... this kind of post all ways makes me want to respond with something like:

quote:

If this is your dog, please speak to me about this

Ok, it’s my damn dog. Mind your own business. Now we have spoken about it.

It is guns in our neighborhood. And it is always the one time in 20 years that the car was accidentally left unlocked.

This. The new remodeled Robert is light years better than the Matherne’s that was there. And I’m a Matherne’s fanboi. Want to talk about a downgrade, the old Matherne’s on Bluebonnet>>>>the Rouses that replaced it.
