Cabbage, brussels, broccoli. Anything cruciferous really. Never ate them as a kid. Cooking techniques were shite back then. Now that I prepare my own food, I've learned how to cook them properly.

I love the flavor of bananas. Banana pudding is awesome. I just can't stand the texture of a raw banana.

Same as an adult, liver and green peas. I’ll try just about anything, but those are still a no go for me.

Brussel sprouts.

the worst

There’s no other food in existence that can be affected by cooking method as much as Brussels sprouts. Absolutely horrible when boiled… but when roasted they are one of my favorite vegetables.

I hated them growing up because they were boiled in a bag, rendering them soggy and bland.

Today I’ll eat every one of them in front of me when roasted and seasoned.

You got that right, Brussel sprouts are the worst vegetable ever boiled. But broiled-roasted, they are the best.

I can't really think of anything I refused at home as a kid, but I remember in elementary there were a few things the cafeteria would serve that I didn't want at all.. And we used to have to go show the teacher our plate before going dump it and she would always tell me "go eat a little more" because I would mash it up to make it look like I ate some and I would just sit there until the bell would ring instead of going out to recess because there was no way I was eating it. If I recall it was some type of stew that just looked gross.
