What exactly is a “cluster frick?”

So, we often hear of things being a cluster frick. What is a cluster frick? A group of people fricking is an orgy and is usually considered a good thing, where as a cluster frick is a bad thing. So at which point does a group of people fricking turn badly and become a cluster?
Before you ask, I didn’t say ‘frick’ in the title, it did that on its own.

It is like being in an orgy when all the holes are lined with 60 grit sandpaper. Everyway you turn is just more bad news.
BTW it was originally a Mongolian cluster frick but I have no idea how Mongols frick differently than Americans.
