I have no desire to listen to talk radio, comedians that aren't funny(I listen to comedians I like on Pandora), etc. I like listening to music in my car. Pandora is free and much better for me.

I've got a pretty good list of stations since I've been using Pandora since like '08. I put it on shuffle and can go pretty long without hearing the same thing. I've got like 100 stations. I actually thumb up and down regularly and have built a pretty good system for it to play what I like.

I get that. It's not your thing

I was explaining why other people like it since you said you don't get the love. They do care about those things.

I drive a lot. So during football and baseball season I have the game on. During college, you can usually get the 2 versions of the game being called by each school's broadcast team.

Oh I know. My dad can listen to sports radio all day. My wife has to have it for her random pop stations. I would just think that there would be a few stations that would cover my likes, but there isn't. Yet the have Tom Petty radio and Pearl Jam radio. I mean I like those bands, but not to listen to them that regularly. I surf them every once in a while and will sometimes happen to be on that station when there is a song I like. But I'm not sitting on that station for hours waiting for the hits I actually like. And I just don't have the patience to channel surf.

I also like the interviews on stern, the sports - every NFL game is broadcast, the news coverage is excellent as well.

I also routinely make 3 to 6 hour drives. Just listening to music gets old for me

I'm amazed that people can't see the different markets for Pandora vs. sat radio vs. streaming music access.

I agree in general but...

I use Spotify when I know what I want to listen to

I use Pandora when I want music but I don't want to work at it
Pretty sure Spotify can do exactly what Pandora does. I know Google Play Music can as that's what i use instead of Pandora.

But like i said, i agree with your general premise as for me XM and Google Play Music are totally different and I see a good reason to have both.

This station is so good but like another poster said, they do tend to repeat songs a lot.

Alt Nation and Turbo or whatever that one that plays 2000s Rock, those are my 2 go to channels.

Off the top of my head, I also like Faction, Lithium, Spectrum. Then a few others that I don't really know the names of.

Local radio stations here are crap. It's pop, classic rock, or oldies. If like to have XM just to have better music to listen to that isn't a part of my Google Play Music Playlis
