They have a pretty hard test. But you get extra points if a vet or disabled.
You almost need more than a 90 on the test to get hired. So I don't get it.

How stressful is the work? Just wondering because of the saying "going postal" .

It can be stressful at times, no different than many other jobs. Much easier if you are able to stay focused. Life on the carrier’s flight deck taught me to stay focused, so that’s something I do well.
Late trucks (whether those are USPS or Amazon) have the greatest negative impact on us in our day to day work, and can cause a good day to suddenly suck really quick.
The “going postal” term is a crock. Multiple studies over the years have shown postal workers do not have more of a propensity for committing violent acts than any other workers in the US.

I do lots of business with USPS through eBay and marketplace sales. I rarely have any issues. On a side note, it’s pretty cool that you can send something in an envelope across the country for under a dollar.

Age - shoe size= USPS IQ requirements

Sort of....it's more like the Muslim age requirement for women to be with men, so here's the formula for USPS IQ requirements:

Age + shoe size ÷ 7 - first 2 digits of starting yearly salary

Not just across the country. I sent several packages from Kadena in Okinawa to west Texas for the $6.95 flat rate. Took a couple weeks to arrive but saved me hundreds of dollars. Pretty sure you can do that on every major US military installation overseas.
