Texans don’t move to California anymore, they go to Colorado now.
My grandparents were born, raised and lived in Texas until their 30's when they moved to CA. They lived there for 40 years and moved back to Texas 10 years ago. Technically, they're counted with the "CA transplants".
Point being, almost half of CA residents are from somewhere else so a lot of these people are probably just going back where they came from after finding out that CA is not all unicorns and rainbows.

In all fairness S it’s been a long while since I’ve had a Whataburger. It’s more of a love the one you are with deals.
For the record I freakin hate it here.

It would be interesting if they could break down the numbers so we can see how many of these people are just moving back home or to other places after moving to cA and finding out it wasn't the wonderland they expected.
The numbers are over a 10 year period, so you'd assume most of that should net to zero.

Toyota moving their headquarters to Plano is but one of many examples of CA relocation to TX
Yeah, California is relatively unfriendly to business, but many industries refuse to relocate. As the study points out, CA had a net gain in higher income folks moving and a significant loss in lower income folks.

I should have made my statement broader. A lot of these people are long term residents. See my example about my grandparents.

Build a wall to keep them in California.

Both states hate Texans. Texans were the cause of the Colorado "Native" bumper stickers that were so prevalent in the 80's.
They've got nothing on people in Alaska. Alaskans really hate Texans, but they have to deal with all of those roughnecks that went to work on the pipeline, and stayed.

Its utter irony and I fear for the future of Texas because we all know they learned nothing from the results of their political ideology, which means they'll try to implement all the same shite hole ideas.

It never ceases to amaze me that these people leave CA for TX only to turn TX into CA. What the frick do they expect to happen?
Austin, sure...but that's not the entire state

I’m truly at a loss. I hate illegal immigration and what it’s done to my state, yet I find myself wanting Cali transplants here even less.

We stayed at a Holiday Inn at Trinidad, Colo., in the mid-80s and the clerk told us Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jr. were staying there, and we should rise at 6 a.m. to see them eating breakfast.
Like bumpkins, we did so, but the entire restaurant was empty.
We unwittingly got some revenge, though. My dad was the first to shower, and the water was scalding hot. He jumped and tore the shower curtain and rod, doing damage.
When I went to a Longhorn football game in Boulder in the early 90s, however, all their fans could tell us Texans while tailgating was how much they hated Californians, much worse than Texans.

if you are a liberal, then stay your arse in that liberal utopia shithole you helped create
if you are a conservative, what the hell took you so long to wise up and get the hell out of that shithole?

One of the recent Chinese millionaires purchased their kids a house to live a few houses down from me. Along with the new crib they bought the daughter a new Range Rover and son a new Jaguar F-type R. The brother and sister and in their very early 20's.
