What do you think about when you try to fall asleep?

What happy place do you try to go to? Going to bed sober is difficult. My brain comes alive kind of stressed when it’s night night time so I’ll lay awake for too long and be tired in morning.

Nothing, it's the only time of the day I get to do that. If it is something, I think about things I'm trying to do to improve my golf swing and visualize it. Puts my arse right to sleep.

I observe what my next thought will be. I fall alsleep fairly quickly when I observe my thoughts and not judge them.

Sitting on the point on Bayou Lacombe at sunset, after most of the boat traffic has gone back to dock- the last trawler just might be passing by. The sky is purple and streaked with orange and the water is still like a black mirror. A few egrets might be flying low on the expanse of marsh and forever sky. There might be a killdeer's nest a few feet away- where I always approach to see the best acting on the natural stage when she starts dragging that wing on the ground to protect her eggs. Just a few blips in the water every now and then- every thing slowly and peacefully making its way to ground and water.
