I told one time that I'd let him tell me about Jesus if he let me tell him about Satan. He got out of there.

Sounds like you might be in Edgartown, idyllic yes, but more and more infiltrated by riff-raff. You should move out to Gayhead (I refuse to use the new name) security is much better. Some people complain about the time to get there but we fly the GS into Teterboro and take the EC 135 out to the compound. BTW if you want to give island West a try out have your people get in touch with my people, it is a shame it only gets used a few weeks a year.

I don't answer the door.
If they catch me outside, I just tell them I am happy with attending Al-Azhar Mosque and that usually scares them off.

I put in the earpiece on my phone smile and tell them I am on a conference call. Or I send Mrs Pimp to pretend she doesn’t speak English . They just want to hand you their crazy paper anyway .

I strip down to my skivvies and swing open the door and starting dancing and singing "JEHOVAH, JEHOVAH!!!"

That kind of reminds me of Peter Boyle in the movie "The Dream Team" when he starts stripping down in the church saying "We are all naked in the eyes of the Lord!"
Maybe I should try that.

i have a couple of techniques.
my favorite is I cut them off almost immediately and tell them I have the squirts from a stomach virus. I start squirming and grabbing at my stomach.
sometimes i just open the front door and leave the glass storm door closed, then let our dog go nuts. Tell them, "Sorry, can't hear you"
Our neighborhood has a large sign out front saying "NO SOLICITATION". So I'll answer with my phone in my ear, telling them I'm calling neighborhood security.
if it's Mormon's, I usually like to frick with them over some of the more twisted bullshite of Bringham Young and the Mountain Meadow Massacre. They don't really want to talk about those topics and walk off.

"No, thank you." And then I close the door.
I don't agree with them, but there's no reason to be ugly.

I tell them I'm not looking for a new religion and when they ask me about the Bible I close the door.

I usually tell them sure, I'll take a Watch Tower, I'm out of toilet paper....

I just tell them that I'm Catholic. They usually then ask if they can leave me their pamphlet and go on their way. They don't come back to my house anymore although I see them every Saturday.

I always ask them why Jesus and God have so many name inconsistencies and if they would care the indulge me in a debate about which one they think is correct. And if we as humans can't something as simple as a guy's name right then how in the hell can we possibly be trusted to pass down historical facts much less religious teachings from generation to generation and before you say it's guided by God, wouldn't you think at minimum the guy would make sure we got his name right?
Catholics call him Jesus, but this is a mistaken translation from the Hebrew name Jesu Aka Jeshua which is what we call Joshua. Jesus is an incorrect derivative from seeing Jesu in the Bible.
Jahovah witnesses think he is Michael the ArcAngel but if his name has always been Michael why change it to Jesu when he came down here. And why change it back when he went back to heaven?
As for the name of their religion, they claim that Jehovah is the true name of God, however Jehovah didn't come until the 13th century. That true biblical name of God is YHWH. Ancient Hebrew has no written vowels. Greek writings however did have vowels and when attempting to vocalize YHWH they wrote Yahweh. However in an attempt to avoid violating the 2nd amendment, many scholars and religious at the time would substitute the word Adonai in place of Yahweh when speaking about God.
In the sixth or seventh century some Jews began to place the vowel points for "Adonai" over the consonants for "Yahweh" to remind the reader of Scripture to say "Adonai" whenever he read "Yahweh."
About the 13th century the term "Jehovah" appeared when Christian scholars took the consonants of "Yahweh" and pronounced it with the vowels of "Adonai." This resulted in the sound "Yahowah," which has a Latinized spelling of "Jehovah."

I let them stand there as the Lab jumps at the door and barks as spit flies from his snapping jaws. They leave after 10-15 seconds.....

I ask them why they don't have windows on their churches.
