Luckily we pretty much have almost all private offices, so it's been awhile since I've last had a cube at my last job. The most irritating thing was being on the phone trying to work and people being loud just bullshitting one cube over.

fricking everything! I hate it all! It’s a kick in the gut every single morning when I get to it!
I have trouble focusing when other shite is going on around me, and when I try to zone in everyone is walking around and often try to stop & shoot the shite when they otherwise would not have if I had an office with the door half closed. frickers on Teams meetings on speaker phone. I hate it, I hate it, I hate it!
No privacy for a personal phone call, no privacy for a work call or Teams meeting, have to watch for some emails depending what it’s about.

It already sucks having had an office for years and now being in a cube, but when the offices next to you leave the door open and have full on meetings on the speaker phone.

This was years ago, but I remember when we moved to an open cubicle area, there were two guys, within a month period, who was caught looking at porn. One dude was 3 cubicles down from me. This girl from another department passed by and he had some video up and see saw it and reported him.
He tried to argue with HR that his friend sent him something and he had no idea it was porn despite the fact for the past few weeks, all the dudes who passed by his cube was saying "______ is going to get fired if he keeps looking at that shite".
If IT would have blocked porn back in the day, they would have saved a lot of people from getting fired.

I worked on a corporate campus in the same building that housed the cafeteria. Yes, it was convenient…but it also always smelled like mashed potatoes and macaroni and cheese. It reminded me of visiting my grandma in the nursing home around meal times. Just this weird, institutional food smell.

Nah. And I actually like my coworkers. I don’t have a full cube, I have a 1/2 cube so it gets noisy.
