) Teachers in this state continue to be the lowest paid in the country and funny how you mention JBE when he got them their first raise in 20 years.

So if we gave a 40% pay raise, our education scores would rocket over the next 10 years? All of a sudden teachers would teach better? All of a sudden we would have better people fighting for teaching jobs?

No, they would not and you know it. We pay our teachers more than Alabama and I think I read they have better scores.

Our scores will never improve until we address the core issues. Single parent homes. Poverty based incentive plans that keep people in poverty.

Time we stop making excuses and hold people accountable.

2) This isn't a problem exclusive to this state. You can go start picking it up yourself if you would like. Maybe if the state had as much of an agenda as arresting people for harmless weed in regards to littering something would get done

I’ve been to numerous other states and the trash on the side of the road is noticeably worse in Louisiana. I’ve seen prisoners out picking up trash every where else. With how much crime occurs in Louisiana you think they could be good at having a Clean state

What are you doing to improve Louisiana? Taking care of yourself to lower obesity rates?

Yep. Recently started to actually diet as opposed to just exercising. I’m down 10 lbs in a month.

Voting to put the right people in office?

Yep. I vote for business friendly candidates only. I don’t care about their social stances and won’t get fooled by someone wanting higher taxes, but wants me to keep my guns.

Recycling/Placing your trash in a trash can?

Trash goes into the garbage can. Never in the bed of my truck. I never throw trash out my window. I like hunting and being out doors. It disgusts me how much human trash, particularly plastic trash I see everywhere.

As for education, both of my kids are in the finest schools I can afford to send them too. I’m not risking them going into LA public schools right now, even though if more people like me and my wife sent our kids to public schools the schools would “be better” as we actually care about our kids education and up bringing.

All trial lawyers? How about just the billboard lawyers. Believe it or not, there are a few good ones out there and if you got rid of all plaintiff lawyers I would be out of a job as a defense attorney

So vote for someone because of a party next to their name? This is the exact thinking that has ruined our political system. Hitler could run as a Democrat or Republican and people would vote for him because of either (R) or (D)

Redraw parish maps. Combine everything into 6-8 economic regions and consolidate local government offices.
