Nothing about pedophilia has become normalized.

That's a talking point for idiots.

Just go back to the 70s when rock stars were bringing 16 year old girls on tour with them, then recounting the stories in memoirs.

Jerry Lee Lewis openly married his 13 year old cousin and still managed to have a career.

The world has changed.

Access to the information is really the only difference.

In the 70’s the MSM hyped up the pedo/deviant serial killer stereotypes.

In the 80’s we got the daycare pervert/fight club scene from the MSM.

Every decade or so the MSM hyped up some segment of the perverts until the internet and social media took over. Now everyone has this stuff at their fingertips 24/7 is what makes it seem so explosively prevalent.

That is an interesting point.

You can't tell me that we have a recent explosion in reported child sex crimes when the Satanic Panic happened in the 70s and 80s. And that was all made up.

I disagree! Technology just brings the sickos into the light! Its a mental disorder that cant and won't be fixed! Castration and or Death is the only cure if you look at a child in any sexual manner!! End of story!!

The content that keeps "the apparent explosion of child sex crimes/pedo" entering into your brain. I can't answer that for you, but you can.

Social media/24 hrs news + increased pressure to expose it in public rather than old fashioned "hush hush"

I imagine there's actually less happening now. It's just getting exposed and publicized more.

I guess I should stop following the news. Probably just need to put my head in the sand completely.

Maybe you just need to follow better news.

Is the news you're following more likely to amplify this for some partisan or socio-political point? Is this part of their brand?

The brand of promoting the threat of pedo (the neo Satanic Panic, as I call it) is very popular.

Not to my knowledge. As far as I can remember, every story I’ve seen about this issue over the last few months came either from this site or from news sites local to the areas where the arrests were made.

Probably worse. I’m guessing that laws weren’t as strict up to 40 years ago. Imagine what they did back in Roman times as well. Up until the 50s or 60s, girls that were 14-15 years old were getting married

We have the internet today, and the media hyper fixates on bad stories because it gets them interactions and money. That's what you're experiencing.

I think the internet has made access to these types of things much simpler, which has increased the number of predators. Where before, the activities had to be perpetrated in person, now the material is out there for them to find.

What’s also happened is it’s made it much easier to catch the sickos.

Og Mormons would take 10 teenage brides. There’s no comparing the crimes against children from back then to today. OP is just getting the algorithm feeding him rage porn.
