Constantly bitch about where they are from/live like its hell on earth instead of trying to appreciate it's positives.

Where I've lived longest as an adult?

We drink in the streets and have a parade for any reason possible.

Where I'm living now?

Weed is legal, and we prefer our Mexican food in burrito form, with Hatch green chili sauce.

If unique = stupid/silly...

Here in this part of Georgia, people mispronounce the hell out of places.

Vienna = "VY inna"
Forsyth = "fer SYTH"
Houston = "HOW ston"
Cordele = "core DEAL"

There's others, but I'm not from here so I don't remember them all. But I guess if I were from here, it wouldn't seem unique.

When I lived in Troy, Al in middle school there was a "dazed and confused" style high school "fraternity/sorority" system. These were sanctioned clubs. When you went into the 8th grade you rushed and accepted a bid to 1 of 3 clubs. The rush culminated with a big party at someone's farm where 8-12th graders got hammered on Milwaukees best and the 8th grade guys got paddled until their arse was black and blue. There was even a formal dance every winter put on where members of all 3 clubs were invited. They were branded as "service clubs" but everyone knew that that intent was general debauchery, and no one seemed to mind. Looking back it was the damnedest thing.
